“Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing we’ll ever do.”
Brene Brown
I consider counseling to be one of the most sacred jobs there are. By creating a warm, empathetic, non judgemental, and safe space for people, I have the privilege and honor of having people share their most private thoughts, feelings, pains and struggles. I have been able to bear witness to amazing healing journeys. I feel honored that my clients trust me enough to invite me in close to them, letting my heart break alongside theirs, and be part of their healing journey. I’m ready to help you take your next steps.
Pain is sometimes inevitable, but suffering need not be. I believe hope, healing, and connection are possible for anyone. It is during challenging times that one is often afforded the greatest opportunity for growth and transformation. Your answers are already inside you. I am here to help you uncover what you already know deep within. I will support the process of remembering your authentic self.
My ideal client is one who is motivated and willing to “go deep”, to explore issues, and learn about aspects of personality & behavioral patterns to maximize life satisfaction.
I have over 18 years of experience. The focus of my practice includes: Life Transitions, Coping Skills, Therapists Caring for Others/ Caregiving Roles, Inner Child Work, Parts Work (IFS), Childhood Emotional Neglect, Personal Growth, Spirituality, Emotional Eating, Betrayal Trauma/Infidelity, Relationship Issues, Assertiveness, Self Esteem, Pregnancy/Post Partum, Anxiety, Mild to Moderate Depression, Loss and Grief, Co-Dependency.
I am trained in EMDR (Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing). EMDR is a proven treatment for PTSD and other traumas.
I provide ease and accessibility through virtual counseling (HIPPA compliant video sessions). This makes therapy more convenient for one’s lifestyle–You can do it from work, from home, etc.
“I’m indebted to Lisa forever for how she gently prodded me down the right road after years of struggling. When I came to her I felt alone and unsure. Few people or professionals in my life understood what I needed, but Lisa not only knew, she named my needs, and helped me to see them clearly for the first time in years, maybe ever. Fighting one’s “demons” so to speak, is difficult, but Lisa has been there for me every single step of the way. I’m grateful for the tools she’s armed me with, the clarity and conviction she helped me find, and the reality checks she continues to give me to succeed” -Jessika K.
“Lisa has been a wonderful counselor to walk through life with. Relatable. Kind. Genuine. She points me back to God and has ready tools to help process my past and present, and strategies to look towards the future. So very thankful for her ongoing impact on my life!” -Brittany Z.
“I have been working with Lisa for over a year. Her passion and dedication to the growth of her patients really shows through her practice. Her attentiveness, insightful questioning, and resources she provides before and after her sessions has led to my continuous self-improvement that has translated into my work, my relationships, friendships, and overall outlook on life. Cannot thank her enough!” -Briana R.
“I have worked with Lisa for over a year and she has truly helped me. Her insight on Eating Disorders and the helpful tools she has given me have helped me through some very trying and difficult times. She has taught me how to set boundaries for myself–something I wouldn’t have learned and been ok with doing without her guidance, support and encouragement. I highly recommend Lisa as a therapist” -Jessica B.
